Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Galion History Center has been unable to open the Hayden-Helfrich Annex to the public. We remain hopeful that a grand opening event will be able to take place in late summer/early Fall of 2021!

History

In October of 2019, the Galion History Center purchased a large storage building at 331 E. Railroad St. Galion, OH. This “Annex” was purchased with funds from the estates of Joice Hayden-Cating and Marta Helfrich Miller who both graciously remembered our organization in their estates. In November of 2019, the Galion History Center board moved to officially name the building the Hayden-Helfrich Annex in their memory. The Annex building was purchased to display our large artifact collection in accordance with our mission of preserving and promoting Galion’s history!
