Thank You Dr. Mansfield!

We've been awaiting it for years, and Dr. Bernard Mansfield has been working feverishly that same amount of time to create a wonderful anthology of subjects, events and interviews of the beginnings of Galion. This two volume set, "The Olentangy Legacy" includes many rare photos from an extensive collection of photos donated over the years by citizens to him and the Galion Historical Society.

According to its publisher, Xlibris, the books “…cover the history of Galion, Ohio from the first primitive settlement on the Olentangy River to the vibrant community existing after the First World War. Much of the history of Galion is taken from newspaper columns written by the author and published in the Galion Inquirer. Photographs were derived from several sources, primarily the citizens of Galion, Ohio. Publication was made possible by resources and funding provided by the Galion Historical Society.”

The Historical Society has hardcover copies of both books.
