Summer Guided Tours of Brownella Cottage


Step inside the extraordinary world of Brownella Cottage during our guided summer tours! This one-hour experience explores the fascinating and controversial life of Bishop William Montgomery Brown, the only Episcopal bishop ever tried for heresy, while taking guests through the beautifully preserved Victorian mansion he shared with his wife, Ella. Along the way, visitors will discover original furnishings, family belongings, and the remarkable stories hidden within the walls of this nationally significant home. Tours conclude at the Galion History Center Museum and Gift Shop.

Tour Dates: June 18th, July 16th, and August 6th at 6:00 p.m.

Admission is $10 per person and tickets must be purchased online - in advance!

Please be aware, Brownella Cottage is not air-conditioned. Guest will receive a complimentary fan.
